For years now Black Gay Couples have became popular in movies, shows and being a staple for the LGBT community. But for a while being black, being gay, and being a couple was something unheard of.
Noah and Wade of Patrick Ian Polks show "Noahs Arc", were one of the first Black gay couples to burst on the scene. Noah a flambount male sought out a relationship from Wade whom was a straight male exploring and discovering his sexuality. Although the relationship had its bumps and bruises it was the ideal fairytale Gay Relationship. It was the tale of fate leading two lives together into Happily Ever After.
Tyriq and Kaldrick King from The CW "La Complex" another popular Gay Couple that was
broadcasted on a major TV Network. Kaldrick a DL rapper fell for an incoming music producer. Tyriq whom is an open gay male. Tyriq and Kadrick were in a very abusive relationship due to the fact that Kaldrick was DL and a rapper. Their relationship of course ended to never be repaired after the last attack on Tyriq that Kaldrick caused.
Mike and Darnell of Nijae Lopez and Kevyn M's "Momma'z Boi" are one of the newest couples. Mike and Darnell have been friends for years. Darnell who is bisexual falls for Mike and their love story shows how most real gay relationships go. There was jealousy, passion, love, hate and so much more but in the end it showed how guys can fall in love, learn from mistakes and forgive each other.
Although these are 3 very different couples on film they show how some relationships in the LGBT Community are. It gives those who haven't been in relationships a glimpse and educates them on what to look for and how to handle certain situations in their relationships. Guys, girls, gay, straight, bi, trans black relationships on film are paving the way for so much more to come in the community. Soon we will see trans actors and actresses and so much more so be on the look out.
