Chris Brown Probation Revoked

$

Just as Chris Brown is getting his life on track through rehab and anger management, he hits a snag on his road to recovery. Brown’s probation was revoked in the Rihanna assault case due to a fight he was involved in in Washington D.C

Breezy was in the Los Angeles court room for a progress report hearing. Due to the fact assault charges were filed against Brown in D.C., the judge felt the filing of the charges proved Chris Brown hadn’t been obeying all of the laws, which was a condition of his probation. Breezy wasn’t remanded into custody because the judge was impressed with the strides he’s been making in rehab. A hearing is set for February and that’s when the judge will decide if Chris Brown should be sentenced to prison or not.

For the time being, Brown was ordered not to use any medical marijuana. According to his progress reports, Breezy has been taken off of the medical marijuana and has been given new psychotropic medicine which has helped him “regulate his emotions” a lot better than in the past. Brown also participates in weekly boot camp and recently completed a 12-hour ropes course that was meant to strengthen team-building skills and trust.

Let’s hope Chris Brown continues to make positive strides in rehab.

Is Beyonce Album to Explicit

Although Beyonce‘s new self-titled visual album sold over 80,000 units in less than three hours, now thousands of critics and fans say that Bey’s new album is way too sexual and explicit. It’s just not the Bey that we’re used too! Drugs, liquor, sex and bitches??? What happened to Irreplaceable Bey?? Besides the fact that this woman broke barriers with this “full time jack move,” will the critics’ negativity overwhelm the positive accomplishments of this album?  I mean another woman licking Beyonce’s boob may be shocking, but hey.

Here’s what some critics and fans had to say:
“This is such a shame to see because Beyonce didn’t get to where she is by jumping on the same bandwagon as Rihanna and people like that who we expect to be explicit and controversial. She was the one we always thought we could count on to set a good example and keep producing music with powerful messages that empowered women and girls. And I would have thought that a star of her magnitude wouldn’t need to do something like this. She has sold out and it’s really sad. Like it or not Beyonce is a role model and she needs to take responsibility for that. Especially as a mother herself, it’s very surprising that she would do this.”

“Jeez! Beyonce has left me flabbergasted. Like I never expected her to be this explicit.”
“The fact Blue Ivy has parts on Beyonce’s new album might be the most disgusting thing I’ve ever heard. Way to exploit your baby for money.” A third added: “Shame on you Beyonce.”

James Avery, best known for playing Uncle Phil on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, died New Year's Eve of complications following heart surgery. He was 65.

Though Fresh Prince himself has yet to make a public statement, Will Smith's wife took to Facebook to offer condolences.  "Happy New Year everyone! DL Chill Spot CEO Murdered

Famed Amateur porn  producer, owner and director Duane Lett was killed Sunday in broad daylight.

It happened in front of an apartment building on Rockaway Avenue near Rutland Road at around 1:15 p.m. Saturday. A neighbor says she heard gunshots and looked out her window to see a man lying on his back with a head wound in the middle of the street.

Police were at the scene investigating for hours, shutting down Rockaway Parkway between East New York Avenue and Rutland Place.

Although there was some speculations that it might not have been the CEO who was killed but instead his top model Murder... It has been confirmed by his business partner of 2 years Michael Galletta of Black Boy Addictionz.

I just returned from traveling out of the country to hear the shocking and tragic news that the DL Chill Spot CEO was murdered this past weekend. According to multiple news sources, he was shot several times in broad daylight while shoveling snow in front of his apartment on Saturday afternoon. No arrests have been made and no suspects have been named so far.", Galletta said.

He went on to say, "Even though I never actually met the DL Chill Spot CEO in person, we have communicated on an almost daily basis for nearly two years, and I considered him a friend as well as a business associate. Most of our conversations focused on work, swapping stories about our models and video-shoots as well as discussing goals and ideas for how to make our sites better. But we occasionally talked about our personal, non-porn lives as well, and words cannot express my deep sadness over the sudden and senseless loss of a good friend and confidante who will be greatly missed.

It's easy to stereotype porn producers as greedy, unscrupulous people who don't give a damn about their performers. And while I'm sure there are some producers like that, I've still yet to meet one and I've been working in this business for over six years.

The DL Chill Spot CEO that I knew was a compassionate and generous person who frequently helped out his models even when sex and porn weren't involved. He took them shopping and out to eat, and sometimes even let them stay at his apartment when their homophobic families kicked them out simply for being gay or bisexual. He was like the father many of these guys never had. If anything, he got TOO close and cared TOO much about the guys that he filmed. "

Please keep is family in your prayers.

Sizzle Miami goes Sizzle South Beach for Labor Day 2014

Sizzle Miami has been delighting Crowds from all over the country for many years now. People from all over flood Miami for a 5 day Gay Pride celebration in which they mix and mingle with the Haves and who's who in the LGBT Culture.

Well in the later part of last year an announcement was made that Sizzle Miami owner Dwight Powell would be taking over Labor Day weekend with Sizzle South Beach which make another rival for Popular Atlanta Pride and Inferno DR .  Plenty of Sizzle goers are outraged with the announcement saying that they don't understand why would Sizzle go to South Beach which is a heavily Straight area.

On www.funkydineva.com we found a post the The Anti Intellect Blog Posted Stating: "As a loyal patron of Sizzle, I was not thrilled to hear this news, and I spoke with many fellow Black gay men shared my hesitation. Aside from parking and transportation being a nightmare on South Beach, many Black gay men wondered, validly, whether South Beach would be a safe and affirming environment for us, many of whom are traveling from around the country. Whereas Downtown Miami provided Black gay men with a temporary respite from the larger straight world, South Beach will do no such thing."

He went on to say: "I no longer believe that Sizzle is an event for Black gay men, nor is it is an event interested in our safety or providing an affirming environment to its loyal customers. In one of the most disgusting emails I have ever read, Sizzle South Beach released a statement “Addressing Safety at Sizzle South Beach.” Far from being a document interested in the safety of Black gay men attending Sizzle, who are spending their hard earned dollars at Sizzle, it was a manifesto on the policing of sexuality. The write-up spit in the face of the very Black gay men who made Sizzle what it is today. The egregious document lists four recommendations for those planning to attend Sizzle South Beach: 1. Code of Conduct, 2. Picking Up, 3. Attire, 4. Appearance. Aside from being insulting, the list is absolutely infuriating. The three most disgusting and infuriating being the “advice” on Picking Up, Attire, and Appearance. They read,

Picking Up– Please do not “holla” at or try to pick-up guys that you don’t know! There is nothing worse for a “straight” guy when with friends to have another guy sending unwanted advances in public. This becomes particularly worse when the “straight” guy isn’t all that straight, however his buddies aren’t aware. Almost all confrontations begins this way.

Attire– Be mindful of your attire. While ladies at UBW can and will get away with poop-poop shorts and next to nothing clothing, you on the other hand might not find the same success.

Appearance– On South Beach, you’ll be among other party seekers in the thousands, thus you will find it extremely difficult to standout – So we suggest that you don’t try. We find that people have the best experiences when they blend in rather than try to stand out. Sometimes standing out isn’t in our best interest.”

After reading the list, I wondered what is the point of coming to Sizzle if I have to appease and please straight people? Sizzle is clearly more interested in pleasing straight people, particularly straight men, than it is the Black gay man who make up its consumer base."

So what do you think? Should we continue to support or should we not stand for a change that ask our community to change and hide who they are?

Words Never Spoken

Author Craig Stewart has been dominating with his self proclaimed memoir "Words Never Spoken". He goes on to talk about his first encounter with a male and his fears of being gay. Here is an excerpt from his book.

"The first man I developed real feelings for contracted HIV during the relationship he had prior to us meeting, but he found out two months after we met. It was Oct. 1, 1999, to be exact. I'll never forget that date, because it also marks my youngest nephew's birthday. In truth, Saleem didn't know if he'd contracted the virus from his ex or from a stranger, because they did whatever with whomever while in that arrangement. It was dysfunction from the outset. That relationship encapsulated all the fears that I harbored about being with another man intimately: continual heartaches, one after another, fueled by a series of love triangles, cheating, and, of course, HIV. After all, haven't we all been programmed to believe that the gay community is the breeding ground for this disease? I imagined that being gay would mean being lonely, because it meant isolation from family and a life fraught with short-lived relationships ending prematurely, because men are believed to be incapable of monogamy even in heterosexual relationships. So the idea of two men living happily ever after was inconceivable for me. I didn't want anything to do with being homosexuality, and for years I prayed that I wouldn't grow up to be gay."

The book is interesting because many people are afraid to talk about their feeling and encounters with different men and woman but Stewart clearly breaks all barriers with this memoir. Also check out this clip from his YouTube page.

DL Chronicle Producers Wed at Grammys

Quincy LeNear and Deondray Gossett were one of the lucky 33 couples married by Queen Latifah during Sunday's historic Grammys ceremony as hit single "Same Love" was performed by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, out singer-songwriter Mary Lambert and Trombone Shorty. Madonna joined the performance with her song "Open Your Heart."  The couple now share the last name "Gossfield."

In a very candid interview with www.glaad.org the Gossett's share there experiences of the day.

GLAAD: How did you end up becoming one of the couple's taking part in the Grammy ceremony?

DEONDRAY GOSSFIELD: We were recommended to casting by a mutual friend who was asked if he knew of any committed couples of color who could be ready for marriage.

GLAAD: We saw the ceremony live, but what was the rest of the day like? Was it hard to keep it a secret from friends and family?

QUINCY GOSSFIELD: The day was certainly a long and nail biting day. We were brought into a large holding tent, draped and covered in red velvet, where all the couples would lounge for the remainder of the day.  It gave us an opportunity to meet and mingle with the people we would be sharing this experience with, from all walks of life. We were met with champagne to toast one another and to take the edge off. However, the drinks were short lived to prevent indulging a little too much prior to our nuptials. Everyone from the staff to production of the Grammys were so warm and encouraging. In most cases they were more excited than us to witness this statement of love. I believe there was a general feeling that we were all a part of making history

DG: The secret was almost impossible to keep, but we navigated fairly well.  Quincy was so eager to let everyone know the news to ensure that they would watch.  I was more for the element of surprise.  I didn't want anyone to know until it was actually playing live on TV, so we just started telling people that we were producing a segment for Macklemore, which wasn't at all farfetched since we're TV producers.  Well, a leak from the New York press foiled all of that and the producers told us about four hours prior to the show that we could start announcing it.  I started to get tagged on IG and FB and quickly called my sister to tell her to keep my mom off the computer.  It didn't work…

GLAAD: What were you feeling when the "Same Love" performance was going on and Queen Latifah was officiating the ceremony?

QG: If I could allow the world to see what I saw through my eyes, they would understand the wellspring of love we were surrounded by and filled with in that moment.  The Staples Center is a gigantic arena and it was filled to the ceilings with people of all ages, races, and genders. The moment we began our wedding march down the aisles, the audience was taken by surprise, but the sheer joy of the moment brought them to their feet. To walk through a sea of people, simply beautiful people, celebrating love, you felt welcomed and embraced and celebrated. We were overwhelmed by the outpouring.
